Collection took place over the past five years, and gastropods were found in 14 caves distributed across six different municipalities: Campo Formoso, Carinhanha, Coribe, Feira da Mata, Central, and ItuaƧu. A total of 19 species-level taxa of terrestrial and freshwater gastropods (representing 10 families) were collected, including representatives of the taxa Neritimorpha, Caenogastropoda, Hygrophila, and Stylommatophora.
