Item Everything is similar, everything is different! Trichorhina Budde-Lund, 1908 (Oniscidea, Platyarthridae) from Brazilian caves, with descriptions of 11 new species(2023) Campos-Filho, Ivanklin Soares; López-Orozco, Carlos Mario; Carpio-Díaz, Yesenia M.; Borja-Arrieta, Ricardo Luis; Gallão, Jonas Eduardo; Taiti, Stefano; Sfenthourakis, Spyros; Bichuette, Maria ElinaThe present work describes 11 new species of the genus Trichorhina from Brazilian caves in the states of Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, and São Paulo. Moreover, the distribution of T. tomentosa has been expanded to include the states of Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais. Additionally, a distribution map and a key for all Brazilian species of Trichorhina, including epigean ones, are provided.Item Two new troglobitic species of Iansaoniscus from Brazilian caves (Crustacea, Isopoda, Pudeoniscidae)(2022-06-14) Cardoso, Giovanna Monticelli; Bastos-Pereira, Rafaela; Ferreira, Rodrigo LopesIansaoniscus species are troglobitic terrestrial isopods of the Pudeoniscidae family. In this work two new species are described from caves in the Bahia state, northeastern Brazil; I. leilae sp. nov. from Toca do Gonçalo cave, in the municipality of Campo Formoso; and I. paulae sp. nov. from Lapa do Bode cave in the municipality of Itaeté. Additionally, ecological notes and conservation status are provided for both new species.Item A new species of Metaprosekia Leistikow, 2000 (Oniscidea, Philosciidae) from caves of the State of Mato Grosso, Brazil(2023) Campos-Filho, Ivanklin Soares; Chagas Jr, Amazonas; Sfenthourakis, Spyros; Bichuette, Maria ElinaThe present work aims to describe a new species of Metaprosekia from siliciclastic caves from Caverna Nova and Caverna Ponte de Pedra, Utiariti Formation, Municipality of Diamantino, State of Mato Grosso. Metaprosekia utiariti n. sp. easily differs from the congeneric species in the shape of male pleopods 1 and 2. Moreover, a map illustrating the lithology and hydrographic characteristics where the specimens were collected and conservation remarks are given.
